BACKSTORY
Awhile back I got tangled up with a true-blue-dyed-in-the-wool-psychopath. He was a psychic con artist who pulled a total snow job on my noggin. Someone I thought was a friend who eventually proved to be an insane-coke-snorting-human trafficking-stalker-strangler-kidnapper.
That being said, he pretty much got to drink a hefty pint of his own medicine when he disappeared down in Mexico, kidnapped by the Zetas for stepping over the lines into their cartel territory. He was missing for 45 days. Eventually they let him go. Damn shame if ya ask me.
During the time he was lost at sea, I still believed him to be my friend and I would send this healing chant out into the ether each day.
The words stand pure still, unscathed by the darkness that was Highlander. They have their own power and magic. They came through me, not of me, when I was dancing and drumming my feet on a huge serpentine boulder at my favorite spot along the Salmon River... They're old medicine, fo sho.
